TETRA Indoor Base Transceiver (TIB)
The TIB (TETRA Indoor Base Transceiver) base station module is a network compo-
nent. The TIB has been implemented in the form of a subrack (with one or two carriers)
for the equipment rack. It is responsible for the radio coverage to and from the mobile
terminal equipment within an ACCESSNET
®
-T network.
When one of the connected exchange units fails, a local exchange function integrated in
the TIB will assume responsibility for the exchange functionality within the TIB in fall-
back mode.
The TIB network component is equipped with hardware components that serve as a
platform for installed software components. The following hardware and software (if
applicable) components are installed in the TIB:
|
Multi Processor Server Unit (MSU) with integrated PowerPC
– Switching and Routing Server (SRS)
– Processing Unit Controller (PUC)
– GPS module
|
IntelPC
– TETRA Operation Server (TOS)
– Network Element Manager (NEM-523)
|
|
|
Receiver/transmitter (carrier)
