Commissioning
Configuring the DIB-500 R4.1
For each TIB module there is a separate ON/OFF switch on the connection panel of the
respective equipment cabinet. The other components in the equipment cabinet are sup-
plied with voltage via an internal connection to the connection panel.
The following table describes the switch setting of the on/off switch.
To switch on the product, the connections must have been made properly and the volt-
age source at the installation site must have been switched on already.
The procedure for switching on a network element is described in the following.
Proceed as follows to switch on a network element:
Preparation:

The equipment rack must be connected to the grounding system.
✓
The equipment cabinet must be connected to the voltage source at the installation
site.
✓
The voltage source on site must be switched on.
✓
All required connection cables must be connected, refer to 5.1.4 on page 86.
Carry out the following steps:

Switch the on/off switch upward to switch on the network element, refer to Table
5.8.

You have successfully switched on the network element.
Performing function tests
After performing the described procedure/s, the described function tests
should be performed to ensure the proper operation of the product, refer to section 5.9
on page 123.
