Configuring the DIB-500 R4.1
12. Navigate to the end of the line and enter the corresponding figure, refer to Table
13. Enter the following command to change to the main menu:
Esc
14. Type in the following command:
:wq
15. Press the ENTER key to confirm your input.

The changes will be saved and the configuration file closed.
16. Enter the following command to restart the network service of the component:
/etc/init.d/network restart

The changed IP address will take effect.

The SSH connection via "PuTTY“ will be changed because the IP address has
changed.
Checking the IP address (optionally)
If required, check the IP address by establishing an SSH connection via PuTTY. Alter-
natively you can check the availability of the IP address via the
ping
10.255.25x.xxx
command. 255.25x.xxx corresponds to the respective IP address.
17. If required, proceed analogously for any further IP addresses.

The procedure for adapting the IP address has been completed.
5.7.6.2
Adapting the IP addresses (PowerPC)
For the proper operation of the PowerPC, the IP address/es of the PowerPC must be
adapted after the IP address of the IntelPC (refer to section 5.7.6.1 on page 108) has
been adapted.
The following table describes the IP address scheme, according to which the PowerPCs
of network components in base stations are to be assigned IP addresses.
The procedure for adapting the IP address is described in the following.
Adapting the IP address
Preparation:

Service computer set up appropriately, refer to the "Service Computer for
ACCESSNET
®
-T“ requirements manual.

The platform image must have been loaded successfully.
✓
The service computer must have been connected to the corresponding component.
✓
The IP address of the IntelPC must have been adapted already.
