Commissioning
Connecting antennas (GPS and TETRA)
Additional protection against tensile stress
If required, use appropriate mechanisms as an additional means of protecting long GPS
antenna cables against tensile stress.

Checking the Installation Site
Following the installation of the GPS antenna, the installation site should be checked,
refer to section 5.9.4 on page 130.
5.3 Connecting antennas (GPS and TETRA)
Each equipment cabinet features three antenna connectors – two for TETRA antennas
(A and B) and one GPS antenna connector. All the antenna connectors are routed from
the front of the respective TIB module or ACS to the top of the respective equipment
cabinet.
Figure 5.14 shows the antenna connectors routed to the top of the equipment cabinet.

To ensure proper operation of the antenna system, you have to connect the antennas
(antenna A and B) as well as the GPS antenna.
The TETRA antennas are connected to the corresponding connectors for antenna A
and optionally antenna B in the respective equipment racks.
