9 Transport and storage
The product must always be transported and stored according to the respective regula-
tions and temperature ranges.
Table 9.1 provides an overview of the ambient data, for which the product has been
designed. These ambient data must be taken into consideration when transporting and
storing the product.
9.1 Transport
The present section gives instructions for any transport to and from the installation site/
operating room of the product.
Transporting equipment racks later on
Note that equipment racks may only be transported in upright position (e.g. using a lift
truck) or with the optionally available hoisting eyebolt kit. When transporting an equip-
ment rack, e.g. on a lift truck, it must be seated on all the levelling feet.
For this reason, we recommend setting up the device cabinets of the product directly at
the intended installation site.
Installing the transport lock
The transport lock installed in the condition as supplied to the customer must be
installed again before the product/system is transported to protect the mounting frame.
The transport lock is retained by the upper cover of the equipment rack.
The procedure for transporting equipment racks is described in the following.
Proceed as follows to transport equipment racks:
Preparation:
✓
The wall panels and the top cover of the equipment rack must be securely
installed.
✓
The operation must have been shut down permanently, refer to section 6.2 on
page 134.
