3.3 Interfaces of the DIB-500 R4.1
The Digital Indoor Base Station (DIB-500) features interfaces for communicating
between the network constituents of the ACCESSNET
®
-T system as well as for con-
necting external applications.
The following interfaces are available:

E1 interface voice telephony and signalling between base station and exchange for:
– connecting switching units inside the ACCESSNET
®
-T and for
– connecting further base stations (redundancy).
|
Ethernet interfaces:
– for service purposes.
|
External alarm inputs for the equipment rack or operation room monitoring (via the
connection panel)
|
External digital alarm inputs/outputs for the equipment rack or operation room moni-
toring via the alarm input/output module (optional)
|
GPS for providing the standard clock (synchronization) required for switching con-
nections
3.4 Wiring diagrams of the DIB-500 R4.1
Upon delivery, the product is completely wired and prepared for commissioning. Inside
the equipment rack, all the connecting cables are marked with the corresponding part
no. and port designation (e.g. for Port 1 = P1) of the corresponding network or hardware
component.
The cables that still need to be connected for commissioning the product such as
cables for connecting the voltage supply and the existing grounding system on site are
connected when the product is installed.
Installation of the Product
Please observe that only personnel especially trained and authorized is permitted to
install the product, refer to chapter 2.3.1 on page 20.
The internal wiring diagrams and related connection descriptions of the product are
shown/given in the following. These may be useful later on as a reference for connect-
ing the electrical system of the product on site and for service purposes.
Representation of the product with optional constituents, if applicable
The internal wiring diagrams of the product are shown in the following sections including
any optional constituents such as the V
AC
voltage supply.
