8.8.1 Common Software Upgrade Problems and Solutions
Common Problem
Cause
Solution
During the upgrade, the
buzzer on the CPU board
beeps and the upgrade cannot
be finished.
A power failure or upgrade
exception occurs, which
damages the BIOS program
of the CPU board.
Send the CPU board back to the
factory for repair.
The upgrade screen is
displayed but the upgrade
cannot be finished
successfully.
The BIOS version and system
software version are
incompatible, or the network
connection is unstable.
1. Check the software version
compatibility and choose a
proper version for upgrade.
Refer to the table listing the
compatibility information
between the system software,
BIOS and upgrade tool.
2. Check the network connection
between the PC and the hub and
between the PC and the
anaesthesia machine. Ensure that
the network cables do not
loosen.
The system cannot switch to
the upgrade boot screen.
The network connection is
not normal.
1. Check the network connection
between the laptop, hub and
anaesthesia machine. Ensure that
the network cables are
connected reliably.
2. Ensure that power is turned on
for the hub.
After the system software or
XX module software is
upgraded, the system reports
the XX Comm Stop alarm.
The system software version
and XX module software
version are incompatible, or
the module is damaged.
Check the XX module software
version and module code. If the
information is correct, send the
module back to the factory for
repair.
