Display with Distronic deactivated

Select the “Distance display” function
using the instrument cluster operating
system (

page 245).
If Distronic is deactivated, you will see the
following display in the multi-function dis-
play.

distance warning function

Actual distance to the vehicle in front

Specified minimum distance to the ve-
hicle in front

Deactivating Distronic
There are various ways of deactivating
Distronic:

Pull the cruise control lever briefly in
the direction of arrow

or

Apply the brakes.
or

Push the cruise control lever in the di-
rection of arrow

Distronic is deactivated. The LIM indi-
cator lamp in the cruise control lever is
lit.
The last speed stored remains stored until
you switch off the engine.

Do not deactivate Distronic if you acceler-
ate. As soon as you release the accelerator ped-
al, Distronic adjusts the vehicle’s speed to the
last speed stored.
Distronic switches off automatically when:

you apply the electric parking brake
앫
ESP ® (
컄
page 55) intervenes or you de-
activate ESP ®
앫
you shift the automatic transmission to
N while the vehicle is in motion
앫
you are driving under 25 km/h
If Distronic switches off, you will hear a sig-
nal. The “DISTRONIC Off” message is dis-
played in the multi-function display for
approximately five seconds.
