®
has been activated, the front-
passenger seat and the electrically adjustable
seats* are brought into a more favourable seat
position.
!
Make sure that there are no objects in the
footwell or behind the seats when adjusting the
seats. You could otherwise damage the seats
and the objects.
i
You can store the settings for the seats us-

G
Risk of accident
Only adjust the driver’s seat when the vehi-
cle is stationary. You will otherwise be dis-
tracted from the road and traffic conditions
and you could lose control of the vehicle as
a result of the seat moving. You could there-
fore cause an accident
G
Risk of injury
Make sure that nobody can become trapped
as you adjust the seat. Observe the notes on
the airbag system (
컄
page 37). Secure chil-
dren as recommended (
컄
page 43).
G
Risk of injury
The seats can be adjusted when the key is
removed and a door is open. For this reason,
children should never be left unsupervised
in the vehicle. They could be trapped by a
seat adjustment movement.
G
Risk of injury
Your seat must be adjusted in such a way
that allows you to wear your seat belt prop-
erly (
컄
page 274).
Observe the following points:
앫
Position the backrest as close to the ver-
tical as possible.
앫
Your arms must be slightly bent when
holding the steering wheel.
앫
Maintain a distance from the pedals that
allows you to depress these fully.
앫
The head restraint should support the
back of your head at about eye level.
앫
If you do not follow these instructions,
this may lead to injuries.
G
Risk of injury
A seat belt only offers its intended degree of
protection if the backrest is positioned as
close to the vertical as possible and the oc-
cupant is sitting upright. Avoid seat posi-
tions that do not allow the seat belt to be
routed correctly (
컄
page 259). Position the
backrest as close to the vertical as possible.
