ABS
(anti-lock braking system)
Prevents the wheels from locking when
braking. This maintains the steerability
of the vehicle.
ADAPTIVE BRAKE
Brake system related to ->ABS, ->ESP
and ->BAS. ADAPTIVE BRAKE takes
into account the driver’s and vehicle’s
behaviour in order to achieve optimum
braking effect.
ADS
(adaptive damping system)
System providing automatic control of
suspension force and optimum damp-
ing of the chassis as a function of the
load, road surface conditions and driv-
ing style.
Airmatic
Automatically adjusts the suspension
tuning for optimum performance and
controls the vehicle level.
ASR
(acceleration skid control)
Component of ->ESP. ASR controls the

BAS Plus*
(Brake Assist Plus)
System built on radar sensor technolo-
gy that assists braking in situations
where a risk of frontal collision is de-
tected. BAS Plus is activated in hazard-
ous situations by the driver depressing
