COMAND navigation system* (dynamic route guidance with RDS-TMC)
COMAND can show certain traffic inci-
dents on the map. These displays can be
seen on map scales 50 m (0.05 miles) to
50 km (50 miles).

To adjust the map scale: turn
y m z
until the desired map scale is set.
Turning clockwise enlarges the map,
turning anti-clockwise reduces the map
scale.

COMAND highlights the entire section of the
route which is affected with corresponding icons

, regardless of how long the incident actually
is.
Icons

are located to the left or right of the
route, when viewed in the direction of travel.
They thereby show which side of the carriageway
is affected by the incident.
More possible icon displays are shown be-
low.
