Operating systems
Rear Seat Entertainment System*
CD/DVD drive
If the CD/DVD drive is being used for both
screens simultaneously, selecting certain
menus or settings on one of the screens
also affects the other screen.
The following functions affect both the
screens:
앫
Changing playback options
앫
Selecting a track
앫
Using play, pause and stop
앫
Scanning or skipping forwards and
backwards
앫
Calling up the DVD menu and navigat-
ing within it
앫
Setting the language, subtitles and
camera angle
앫
Calling up interactive DVD content
The following functions only affect one
screen:
앫
Making audio, video and screen set-
tings
앫
Switching between full screen, the
menu system and the navigation menu
Switching between main functions
When you exit a main function, the current
setting is stored. If you call up this main
function again later, there are two possibil-
ities:
앫
The main function is already running on
the other screen.
앫
The main function is not running on the
other screen.
In the first case, the main function appears
as it is already on the other screen.
In the second case, the setting appears on
the screen as it was when you last exited
the main function.
Loading and ejecting CDs/DVDs
When you load or eject a CD/DVD, this is
only displayed on the screen where the
“Disc”
main function is selected. The cur-
rent settings memory is reset to the origi-
nal state for both screens.
System settings
You can set almost all system settings indi-
vidually for each screen without affecting
the other screens. Setting the loudspeak-
ers is an exception.
Simultaneous use of COMAND and the
Rear Seat Entertainment System
You can switch the Rear Seat Entertain-
ment System sound to be played over the
vehicle loudspeakers (
컄
page 232). The
volume of the vehicle loudspeaker can be
adjusted with COMAND. If only one of the
rear screens is switched on, the sound
from this screen is played over the vehicle
loudspeaker. If both rear screens are
switched on, the sound from the screen
that was switched on first is played over
the vehicle loudspeaker. However, it is
also possible to select the screen from
which the sound should be played
(
컄
page 232). When you switch off the
screen providing the sound, and the sec-
ond screen is still switched on, the sound
from the second screen is then played over
the vehicle loudspeaker.
