Changing the bulbs
Before changing bulbs

Only fit 12 V bulbs of the same type as
before and of the correct wattage.
앫
Switch the lights off before changing a
bulb to prevent a short-circuit.
앫
Only hold bulbs with a clean, lint-free
cloth.
앫
Do not work with wet or greasy fingers.
앫
If the new bulb still does not light up,
consult a qualified specialist workshop,
e.g. a Mercedes-Benz Service Centre.

Have the following bulbs changed at a
qualified specialist workshop, e.g. a
Mercedes-Benz Service Centre:

The right-hand dipped-beam head-
lamp (with halogen headlamps)
앫
The dipped-beam headlamps (with
bi-xenon*)
앫
The front turn signals
앫
The front foglamp bulbs
앫
The additional turn signals in the ex-
terior mirrors
앫
The side lamps
앫
The third brake lamp
앫
The brake lamps/the tail lamps
앫
The rear foglamp
앫
The rear turn signals
앫
The licence plate lighting

Have the headlamp adjustment checked
regularly at a qualified specialist workshop, e.g.
a Mercedes-Benz Service Centre.

Removing and fitting the washer fluid
reservoir on the left-hand side
The washer fluid reservoir must be re-
moved before it is possible to change the
bulb in the left-hand headlamp. The washer
fluid reservoir is located at the front of the
engine compartment on the left-hand side.

Retaining screw

To remove: turn retaining screw

anti-clockwise.

Remove the washer fluid reservoir from
the bracket.
왘
Put the washer fluid reservoir to one
side and leave the lines and hoses con-
nected.
