L ift o ff the air filter cover and rem ove
the filter.
3. W ipe inside the air cleaner housing
w ith a dam p cloth.
4. R eplace the filter.
5. Install in the reverse order o f rem oval.
R eplace the filter according to Scheduled
M aintenance (page 8-3).
Wiper Blades
A CAUTION
H ot w axes applied by autom atic car
w ashes have been know n to affect the
cleanability o f window s.
C ontam ination o f either the w indshield or
the blades w ith foreign m atter can reduce
w iper effectiveness. C om m on sources are
insects, tree sap, and hot w ax treatm ents
used by som e com m ercial car washes.
If the blades are not w iping properly,
clean the w indow and blades w ith a good
cleaner or m ild detergent; then rinse
thoroughly w ith clean water. R epeat if
necessary.
A CAUTION
To prevent dam age to the w iper blades,
d o n ’t use gasoline, kerosene, paint
thinner, or other solvents on or near
them .
▼ Replacing Windshield Wiper
Blades
W hen the w ipers no longer clean w ell, the
blades are probably w orn or cracked.
R eplace them .
A CAUTION
To prevent dam age to the w iper arms
and other com ponents, d o n ’t m ove the
w ipers by hand.
