Emergency Towing
Towing Description
W e recom m end that tow ing be done only
by an A uthorized M azda D ealer o r a
com m ercial tow -truck service.
P roper lifting and tow ing are necessary to
prevent d am age to the vehicle.
G overnm ent and local law s m ust be
follow ed.
A tow ed vehicle usually should have its
front w heels o ff the ground. If excessive
dam age or o th er conditions prevent this,
use w heel dollies.
W hen tow ing w ith the rear w heels on the
ground, release the parking brake.
A CAUTION
D o n ’t tow the v ehicle pointed
backw ard w ith driving w heels on the
ground. T his m ay cause internal
dam age to the transaxle.
A CAUTION
D o n ’t tow w ith sling-type equipm ent.
This could dam age y o u r vehicle. U se
w heel-lift or flatbed equipm ent.
