Seat Belt Systems
Seat Belt Extender
If y o u r seat belt is n ot long enough, even
w hen fully extended, a seat belt extender
m ay be available to you at no charge from
y o u r A uthorized M azda Dealer.
This extender w ill be only for you and for
the p articular v ehicle and seat. Even if it
plugs into oth er seat belts, it m ay n ot hold
in the critical m o m en t o f a crash.
W hen ordering an extender, only order
one that provides the necessary additional
length to fasten the seat belt properly.

U n necessary Use o f an Extender:

w ill be too lon g a n d n o t f i t properly.
In a n acciden t, the seat b elt w ill n ot
p ro vid e adequ ate p ro te ctio n a n d you
c o u ld be seriously injured. O n ly use
the exten der w hen it is req u ired to
fa ste n the se a t b e lt properly.

n o t p ro vid e adequ ate p ro tectio n a n d

p a rticu la r veh icle a n d seat. N E V E R
use the e x te n d e r in a d ifferen t vehicle
o r seat.

Using an exten der th a t is too lon g is

properly. In a n acciden t, the se a t b elt

a n d yo u cou ld be seriously injured.
D o n ’t use the ex ten d er o r choose one
sh o rter in len gth i f the distan ce
betw een the ex ten d er’s buckle a n d the
cen ter o f the u s e r ’s body is less than
15cm (6 in).
