Warning/Indicator Lights and Beeps
▼ TCS Warning Light
TCS
T his w arning light stays on fo r a few
seconds w hen the ignition sw itch is turned
to the O N position. It flashes w hen the
system regulates engine torque.
If the light stays on, take y o u r vehicle to
an A uthorized M azda Dealer. T he traction
control system m ay have a m alfunction.
N O T E
In addition to the T C S w arning light
flashing, a slight lugging sound w ill
com e from the engine. This
indicates th at the traction control
system is operating properly.
O n slippery surfaces, such as fresh
snow, it w ill b e im possible to
achieve h ig h rp m w hen the traction
control system is on.
▼ Low Fuel Warning Light
T his w arning light in the fuel gauge
signals that the fuel tank w ill soon be
empty.
G et fuel as soon as possible.
▼ Low Washer Fluid Level
Warning Light
T his w arning light reveals that little
w indshield w asher fluid rem ains. A dd
fluid (page 8-20).

vehicle m ay have a problem . It is
im portant to note the driving conditions
w hen the light cam e on and consult an
A uthorized M azda Dealer.
T he check engine light m ay com e on in
the follow ing cases:
• T he fuel tank level being very low or
approaching empty.
• T he e n g in e’s electrical system has a
problem .
• T he em ission control system has a
problem .
• T he fuel-filler cap is m issing or not
tightened securely.
