Switches and Controls
O n e -to u c h w ip e rs
For a single w iping cycle, push the lever
up to MIST.
▼ Windshield Washer
Pull the lever tow ard you and hold it to
spray w asher fluid. In the O F F or INT
position, the w ipers w ill be activated until
the lever is released.
If the w asher d o esn ’t w ork, in sp ect the
fluid level (page 8-20). If it’s OK, consult
an A uthorized M azda Dealer.
Rear Window Defroster
T he rear d efroster clears frost, fog, and
thin ice from the rear window.
T he ignition sw itch m ust be in the O N
position.
P u sh the sw itch to turn on the rear
w indow defroster; the indicator lig h t will
com e on.
P ush the sw itch again to turn it off.

CAUTION
D o n ’t use sharp instrum ents or
w indow cleaners w ith abrasives to
clean the inside o f the rear w indow
surface. They m ay dam age the
d efroster grid inside the window.
N O TE
T his defroster is n ot designed for
m elting snow. If there is an
accum ulation o f snow on the rear
window , brush it off before using the
defroster.
