size. I f not, the ch ild cou ld be seriously in ju red o r even k ille d in a n acciden t.

A n un secu red c hild-restrain t system is dangerou s. In a su dden stop o r a collision it
c ou ld m ove cau sin g seriou s injury o r death to the ch ild o r o th er occu pants. M ake sure
the ch ild-restrain t system is p ro p erly secu red in p la ce accordin g to the ch ild-restrain t
system m a n u fa ctu rer’s instructions. W h en n ot in use, rem ove it fro m the veh icle o r
fa ste n it w ith a sea t belt.
H olding a C h ild W hile the Vehicle is M oving:
H o ld in g a ch ild in y o u r arm s w hile the veh icle is m ovin g is extrem ely dangerou s. N o
m a tter how stron g the p e rso n m ay be, he o r she ca n n o t h o ld onto a ch ild in a sudden
stop o r collision a n d it c o u ld resu lt in seriou s injury o r death to the ch ild o r oth er
occupants. E ven in a m oderate acciden t, the ch ild m ay be exposed to a ir bag fo rc es
th a t c ou ld resu lt in seriou s injury o r death to the child, o r the ch ild m ay be slam m ed
into the adult, in jurin g the adult. A lw ays secure a ch ild in a p ro p e r ch ild-restrain t
system .

backw ard resu ltin g in seriou s injury o r d eath to the child. N E V E R use a rear-facin g
ch ild-restrain t system in the fr o n t sea t w ith an a ir bag th a t c o u ld deploy.
