Pressing the seek tuning button
(
, V ) w ill cause the tuner to seek
a higher or low er frequency autom atically.
If you continue to press and hold the
button, the frequency w ill continue
changing w ithout stopping.
S can tu n in g
Press the scan button ( SCAN) to
autom atically sam ple strong stations.
Scanning stops at each station for about 5
seconds. To hold a station, m erely press
the scan button ( SCAN) again during this
interval.
P re s e t c h a n n e l tu n in g
The six preset channels can be used to
store 6 A M and 12 FM stations.
1. To set a channel first select A M , FM 1,
o r FM 2. T une to the station you w ant.
2. D epress a channel preset button for
about 2 seconds un til a beep is heard.
T he preset channel num ber and station
frequency w ill be displayed. The
station is now held in the m em ory.
3. R ep eat this operation for the other
stations and bands you w ant to store.
To tune o n e in the m em ory, select AM ,
FM 1, o r FM 2 and then press its
channel preset button. T he station
frequency and the channel num ber w ill
b e displayed.
If the p ow er supply is interrupted (fuse
blow s o r the battery is disconnected),
the preset channels w ill be canceled.
A u to m e m o ry tu n in g
This is especially u seful w hen driving in
an area w here the local stations are not
know n. A dditional A M /F M stations can
be stored w ithout disturbing the
previously set channels.
Press and hold the auto m em ory button
(AUTO-M) for about 2 seconds until a beep
is heard; the system w ill autom atically
scan and tem porarily store the six
strongest stations o f each selected band in
that area.
A fter scanning is com pleted, the strongest
station w ill b e tuned and its frequency
displayed.
P ress and release the auto m em ory button
(AUTO-M) to recall stations from the auto­
stored stations. O ne stored station w ill be
selected each tim e; its frequency and
channel n u m b er w ill be displayed.
N O T E
If no stations can b e tuned after
scanning operations, "A" w ill be
displayed.
