Trunk Release Handle
Your vehicle is equipped w ith a trunk
release handle that provides a m eans o f
escape for children and adults in the event
they b eco m e locked inside the trunk.
No m atter how careful adults m ig h t be
w ith keys and locking their cars, parents
should be aw are that children m ay be
tem pted to play around vehicles and use
the trunk as a hiding place.
A d ults are advised to fam iliarize
them selves w ith the operation and
location o f the re le ase handle so that all
children can be told about it in an
appropriate way, keeping in m ind that
m ost vehicles d o n ’t have such handles.

tru n k lid a n d clim b inside re su ltin g in

exposu re. C lose the tru n k lid, lock the

children to p la y in side the veh icle.
