Your M azd a ’s headlights have replaceable
halogen bulbs.
A WARNING
H an dlin g H alogen B ulbs:
W hen a halogen bulb breaks, it is
dangerou s. These bulbs contain
pressu rized g a s. If one is broken, it
w ill explode a n d seriou s injuries
c o u ld be ca u sed b y th e flying glass.
If the gla ss portion is to u ch ed w ith
bare hands, b o d y o il c o u ld cause the
bulb to overheat a n d explode when lit.
N ever touch the g lass portion of the
bulb with y o u r bare h an ds a n d alw ays
w ear eye p ro tectio n w hen h an dlin g or
w orkin g a ro u n d h alogen bulbs.
C hildren a n d H alogen B ulbs:
P layin g with a halogen bulb is
dangerou s. Serious injuries co u ld be
ca u sed by d roppin g a halogen bulb or
breakin g it som e o th er way.

▼ Replacing a Headlight Bulb
1. M ake sure the headlight sw itch is off.
2. L ift the hood and find the bulb in the
rear of the headlight body.
3. 2.5-liter engine
R em ove the bolts and the coolant
4.
D etach the electrical connector fro m
the bulb by squeezing the tabs and
pulling it to the rear.
