▼ Inspecting Engine Oil Level
1. B e sure the vehicle is on a level
surface.
2. W arm up the engine to norm al
operating tem perature.
3. Turn it o ff and w ait 5 m inutes for the
oil to return to the oil pan.
4. P ull out the dipstick, w ipe it clean, and
reinsert it fully.

5. P ull it out again and exam ine the level.
I t’s O K betw een L and F.
B ut if it’s near at or below L, add
enough oil to bring the level to F.

CAUTION
D o n ’t add engine oil over F. T his m ay
cause engine dam age.
6. M ake sure the O -ring is positioned
properly before reinserting the
dipstick.
T he distance betw een L and F on the
dipstick represents the follow ing:
L (US qt, Im p qt) 1.0 (1.06, 0.88)

S cheduled M aintenance (page 8-3).
