Doors and Locks
If you m ust leave y o u r vehicle w ith
another person, such as a parking
attendant, protect item s by locking the
glove box and trunk lid w ith the prim ary
key. K eep that key and give the other
person only the secondary key.
A code num ber is stam ped on the plate
attached to the key set; detach this plate
and store it in a safe place (n o t in the
vehicle) fo r use if you need to m ak e a
replacem ent key.
A lso w rite dow n the code num ber and
keep it in another safe and handy place,
but n ot in the vehicle.
If y o u r key is lost, consult your
A uthorized M azda D ealer w ith the code
num ber ready.

Keys a n d C hildren:

p o w e r w indow s o r oth er controls, or
even m ake the veh icle m ove. D o n ’t
leave the keys in y o u r veh icle with
children.
U n locked Doors:
U nlocked d oors in a m ovin g vehicle
are dangerou s. P assengers can f a ll
o u t i f a d o o r is a cciden tally open ed
a n d can m ore easily b e throw n o u t in
an acciden t. So keep a ll doors locked
w hen driving.
N O T E
A lw ays rem ove the key from the
ignition sw itch, clo se all w indow s, and
lock all doors w hen leaving your
vehicle unattended. T his discourages
intruders and thieves.
