S ecu rin g the Seats:
A dju sta b le seats a n d seatbacks th at

dangerou s. In a su dden stop o r
collision , the seat o r sea tb a ck cou ld
m ove, ca u sin g injury. M ake sure the
a djustable com pon en ts o f the sea t are
locked in p la ce by attem p tin g to slide
the sea t forw ard a n d backw ard a n d
rocking the seatback.

T he seat-bottom tilt, seat h eight and seat
slide can b e electrically a djusted. M ove
them to the desired positions b y using the
sw itch on the se a t’s low er side.

CAUTION
T he seat-bottom pow er adjust is
operated by a motor. Avoid
extended operation b ecause
excessive use can d am age the
motor.
To prevent the b attery fro m running
dow n, avoid using the pow er adjust
w hen the engine is stopped. The
adjuster uses a great am ount of
electric power.
D o n ’t u se the sw itch to m ake m ore
than one adjustm ent at a tim e.

A d ju stin g the d riv e r’s sea t w hile the
veh icle is m o vin g is dan gerou s. The
d river cou ld lose co n tro l o f the vehicle
a n d have a n acciden t. A d ju st the
d riv e r’s se a t only w hen the veh icle is
stopped.
To m ove a seat forw ard or backw ard, raise
the lever and slide the seat to the desired
position and release the lever.
M ake sure the lever returns to its original
position and the seat is locked in place by
attem pting to push it forw ard and
backw ard.
