7.7.1 Establishing the Configuration Task
Applicable Environment
By default, the interface indexes in the exported NetStream packets contain 16 bits. The network
management station (NMS) restores the 16-bit interface index in the NetStream statistics packets
sent from the device to 32-bit interface index and searches for the interface that exports the
statistics packets. If the NMS supports the 32-bit interface index, you can configure the
NetStream interface index to 32 bits when deploying NetStream services and exporting the
packets in v9 format on the device. Then, the NMS directly obtains the interface name from the
received 32-bit interface index and collects the traffic statistics on the interface.
Pre-configuration Tasks
Before configuring the mapping of NetStream interface index, complete the following tasks:

Ensuring that interfaces work normally
l
Setting the IP address of the interface
l
Enabling the NetStream function on the S9300
l
Setting the version of the exported packets of NetStream original traffic to v9
l
Setting the version of the enabled aggregation traffic to v9

Prerequisite
When configuring the IPv4 exported packets to contain 32-bit interface indexes, ensure that:

The version of the exported packets of original traffic is v9.
l
The version of the exported packets of the enabled aggregation traffic is v9.
