1.6.1 Establishing the Configuration Task
Before configuring community-name-based access control in SNMPv2c, familiarize yourself
with the applicable environment, complete the pre-configuration tasks, and obtain the required
data. This can help you complete the configuration task quickly and accurately.
Applicable Environment
To configure the specified NM Station to manage the switch (SNMP agent), configure access
control lists on the switch.
Pre-configuration Tasks
Before configuring community-name-based access control, complete the following tasks:

Assigning an IP address to the switch

Configuring the routing protocol to make the switch and the NM Station accessible

1.6.2 Configuring the SNMP Version
By default, the NM Station accesses the device through SNMPv3. To enable the NM Station to
access the device through SNMPv2c, you need to configure SNMPv2c on the device.

system-view
The system view is displayed.
Step 2
Run:
snmp-agent sys-info
version
v2c
The SNMP version is configured.
By default, SNMPv3 is configured.
