6.24.3 Configuring Parameters for the NQA MTrace Test
This part describes how to set parameters for the MTrace test for the multicast path from the
multicast source to the destination host.
Context
Do as follows on the switch with the MTrace test instance being created:
NOTE
The querier must meet one of the following conditions:
l
Connected to the destination host.
l
Pinging through the destination host or the last-hop switch
l
Residing on the multicast path from the multicast source to the destination host (For example, it can
be the first-hop switch.)
Procedure
Step 1
Run:
system-view
The system view is displayed.
Step 2
Run:
nqa
test-instance
admin-name
test-name
The test instance view is displayed.
Step 3
Run:
mtrace-source-address
ipv4
ip-address
The address of the multicast source is specified.
Step 4
Run:
mtrace-group-address
ipv4
ip-address
The multicast group address is configured. The address must be a common group address.
Step 5
Run:
destination-address
ipv4
ip-address
The IP address of the destination host is configured.
Step 6
(Optional) Run:
vpn-instance
vpn-instance-name
The VPN instance name is configured.
Step 7
Run:
mtrace-query-type
