Setting FFT Calculation Conditions
Total harmonic distortion factor (THD)
When the calculation is set to one of the following types and the cursors are enabled, the distortion
factor is calculated.
(Linear spectrum, RMS spectrum, power spectrum)
The distortion factor is calculated regarding the cursor position as the fundamental wave. When
displaying the two cursors, the instrument regards the A cursor as the fundamental wave to
calculate the distortion factor.
When no results are have been obtained, the instrument displays the string
[---%]
.
Incidentally, the total harmonic distortion factor may significantly vary depending on the window
function setting.
