Tap the
[Divide]
box, and then from the list, choose an option for a file size of each file.
When
[Type]
is set to
[Waveform (Binary)]
.
Off
Saves a file without dividing it.
16 MB
,
32 MB
Choose this option to divide a large file into several files and save them. A file is
divided into several files each of which has the specified size. The instrument creates
a folder with the specified name, divides a file into several files, and then saves them
in the folder.
Even if the
[Divide]
has been set to
[Off]
, the instrument automatically divides files more than 512 MB in
size, which can be generated in some measurement conditions. When the instrument needs to divide a file, it
automatically creates a folder to save divided files and an index file with the extension .INX. Loading the IDX
file allows the waveform files to be loaded in a batch.
When using the memory division function, you cannot use the division save function.
See “Loads divided files in a batch.” (p. 115) and “10 Memory Division Function” (p. 255).
When
[Type]
is set to
[Waveform (Text)]
.
Off
Saves a file without dividing it.
60,000 Data
1,000,000 Data
The instrument divides a file into several files each of which contains the specified
number of data points.
Even if the
[Divide]
has been set to
[Off]
, the instrument automatically divides files more than 512 MB in size,
which can be generated in some measurement conditions.
When using the memory division function, you cannot use the division save function.
See “10 Memory Division Function” (p. 255).

A large amount of space is required to save
files in text format. Decimating data points
before saving a file can reduce the file size.
This setting allows you to specify the
decimation number (the instrument retains a
data point out of the decimation number of data
points).
Example: When you specify
[10]
, the instrument
saves one out of every 10 consecutive
data points and disregards nine
others. The number of samples is
reduced to one-tenth of the original
amount.

File
designation
New
Saves files with a new file name each time. The
instrument allocates sequence numbers when
the same name is given.
Append
Appends data to the same file and saves it.
File division
Off
Saves all calculations in a single file.
Split by Calc. No.
Creates a new folder, divides a file into several
files according to calculation number, and save
them in the folder. The instrument appends the
string “_K + sequential number” following each
file name.
