To enable the feature the ‘Filter’ parameter must be ticked. The fi lter parameters (1 to 3) will then appear.
This is the default.
In the example shown above:
The instrument will respond to incoming messages which contain the characters ‘GPGLL’ as set in Filter 1
and ‘GPZDA’ as set in Filter 2.
Filter 3 is not being used as it is a blank string.
Note: The supported characters for fi lter strings are ASCII 0x20 to 0x7F exluding the \ and ,
characters.
When used with an unprogrammable receiver which is generating GPS messages typically every second,
the ‘Timeout’ parameter will typically be set to 600 seconds to record required messages every 10 min-
utes.
