OXYGEN (O2) CORRECTION
This function carries out O
2
correction of gas measurements for use in Continuous Emissions Monitoring
applications. The equation calculated is:

Specifi ed O
2
= specifi ed oxygen entered as a constant 5-digit value (prescribed for the particular proc-
ess).
Measured O
2
= measured oxygen, entered as a channel number (gas analyser input) (See application
note, below).
Measured Gas = the measured gas, entered as a channel number (gas analyser input).
APPLICATION NOTE
Some Authorities allow Oxygen correction to be made ONLY if the Measured Oxygen value is above a
limit specifi ed by such Authorities.
For the oxygen correction function to conform with this requirement it is necessary to ‘Filter’ the Meas-
ured Oxygen value using a High Select function, with ‘Measured Oxygen’ and the Specifi ed Limit con-
stant as its inputs. The output from this function (derived channel number) is then used as the ‘ Measured
oxygen’ value.
