(4) Acknowledgment message transmitted from DC
DC judges whether it is a Write or Read command based on the incoming message.
When receiving a Read command, DC collects required data and transmits a 1-byte command
data as an acknowledgment message.
When receiving a Write command, DC evaluates the incoming command + data and transmits an
acknowledgment message including a 1-byte command status to HOST.
For details on the command statuses, see the list in Table 8-3.
Table 8-3: Overview of command status
Command
Description
0x00 Command OK
This indicates that the command is correctly received.
0x01 Command Not OK
This indicates that the command is not defined.
0x02 Data Range NG
Indicating that the data is out of the range for selection.
0x03 Check Sum ERROR
Indicating that the checksum value of the data is wrong.
0x05 Data Length NG
Indicating that the data length of the data received is wrong.
(5) Receipt of acknowledgment message on HOST
Depending on the responding message, the HOST side can judge the data transmitted.
When ACK is received and the responding message is "0x00", it indicates that the message is normally
received by the DC side and the process is completed.
When NAK or ACK is received but the command status is not "0x00", it indicates that the message is not
normally received by the DC. * In this case, check that there is no error in the command or data with
reference to the command list.
Transmit ACK to DC from HOST side after receiving responding message from DC.
(6) Receipt of ACK on DC
After receiving ACK, DC returns to standby mode, and shifts into a state possible to receive next
message.
If the ACK is not received, the ACK waiting state is continued.
After transmitting responding message of DC side, the ACK waiting state is automatically returned in
about four seconds, turning into the message standby mode.
