○ Communication rate setting
The communication rate between DC and HOST computers. The initial value is set at 9600 bps.
For a possible unstable communication state, such as due to a long wire length in RS485, it is
recommended to decrease the communication rate. The setting of the communication rate is made on the
front panel of DC.
(1) The procedure until the following serial communication menu screen is the same as the setting
method of Address.
(2) On the HOST screen, press the ◄ or ► button to select the BPS items on the screen and press ENT
button.
* The selected item blinks.
The communication rate setting screen shown below appears.
On this screen, the communication rate can be changed.
The initial value is 9600 bps.
Pressing the ENT button enables the editing mode and allows you to select the communication rate
using the ◄ or ► button.
After editing, press the ENT button to accept the change.
○ Setting of TERMINATION
For establishment of the RS485 communication, TERMINATION of the final unit on the connected network
needs to be set for stable communication. Set TERMINATION as follows.
● Setting of TERMINATION
(1) The procedure until the following serial communication menu screen is the same as the setting
method of Address.
(2) On the serial communication menu screen, select TERM and press the ENT button.
Then the TERMNATION setting menu screen appears.
On this screen, whether or not to enable TERMINATION can be set.
The initial value is NO.
Pressing the ENT button enables the editing mode and allows you to switch between NO and YES
using the ◄ or ► button.
After editing, press the ENT button to accept the change.
○ HOST communication settings
For the control via RS232 or RS485 communication, the control mode needs to be changed to the HOST
setting.
It can be set on the front panel of DC or directly via RS232C or RS485 communication.
