● How to change the operation mode from the front panel of DC
1) The method for making a change on the main screen.
By pressing ENT button on the main screen, " ◄ " button is displayed on the screen.
The change can be made by selecting an upper right item (any of LCL/USER/HST) and pressing the
ENT button again.
2) The method for making a change on the parameter tree.
(1) On the CNFG menu screen, press the ◄ or ► button to select SYTM items and press the ENT
button.
The SYTM screen shown below appears.
(2) On the SYTM screen, press the ◄ or ► button to select CONT items and press the ENT button.
The Control administration selection screen shown below appears.
On this screen, the control of administration can be set.
The current control mode appears on the screen.
Pressing the ENT button once enables the editing mode and allows you to select the control mode
using the ◄ or ► button.
The control mode can be selected from LOCAL/USER/HOST and, for RS232C/RS485, select
HOST.
● How to change the control mode via RS232C or RS485 communication
Made the settings to the HOST communication using commands for setting the control mode.
See the control mode change command in the Write command (0x13: Control Mode) to be described
later.

DC-10-4P communication message packets consist of the four types of fields as shown below.
• Header field (SOF, each address, c data field length information)
• Command field (See the command list to be described later.)
• Data field (a field for data to complement each command)
• Checksum (Command error check)
