3-4-6. About settings for pulse synchronization system
For pulse synchronization, the settings need to be made in power supply in addition to
establishment of connection between optional optical synchronization cables.
For the operation/settings, see below.
The settings need to be changed on the front panel.
* For operation, settings, and parameter tree of power supply, see "Chapter 5: Operating Instructions".
Settings in parameter tree
It is necessary to enter the total number of systems for pulse synchronization at
"MENU/PULS/LINK" in the parameter tree and each system number.
For example, if the system is a 12-system, System 1 is SET TOTAL = 1 (System No.)/12(Number of
systems) whereas System 12 is SET TOTAL = 12/12.
Setting example: 12-system
System 1
System 2
System 12
In the MENU/PULS/OSC, set CMST for the system 1, and CSLV for the system 2 and after.
* It becomes monitoring state for the number of system units by changing the OSC setting into CMST
or CSLV. At this time, if the number of system units is not specified, it becomes as [SYNC SETTING
ERROR], therefore, set the number of system units. If "ERROR" generates, recovery can be made by
inputting RESET signal after setting the number of system units.
If you use several systems in optical synchronization, be sure to set
the parameters.
If you do not make the settings, Error appears.
If Power supply has been replaced due to faults etc., take care not to
forget to make the settings for synchronization.
For using the system with a frequency of 155 kHz or more in optical
synchronization, specify 650 V or less for the VOLT Limit value of the
system 2 and after. The product may possibly be damaged if using the
system with the frequency of 155 kHz or more while leaving the VOLT
Limit remained at 800V
