GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This service feature permits the D
term
user who was put on hold by another PBX station user, to put the
opponent on hold by depressing
Hold
key and use such features as outgoing calls by using Sub Line.
The D
term
user who has made a DUAL HOLD status can return to the original hold status by depress-
ing the line key on which the user was put on hold.
The D
term
user who originally put the other party on hold but has been placed under the DUAL HOLD
status by the operation of the other party, when he depresses the line key trying to return to the original
conversation will be put into a held status by the other party.
If both party depresses line key trying to return to the original conversation, they can return to the orig-
inal conversation.

OPERATING PROCEDURE
To set DUAL HOLD:
1. A station is on a call with another station.
2. One station depresses
Hold
key, other station receives MUSIC ON HOLD.
3. Second station depresses
Hold
key, DUAL HOLD condition.
To return to a station to station connection:
1. Two stations in DUAL HOLD condition.
2. Either station presses their line key, and receives MUSIC ON HOLD; as they are still on hold.
3. Other station presses their line key, and conversation is again possible.
DUAL HOLD-RECALL:
1. Two stations in DUAL HOLD condition.
2. Either station is recalled.
3. This station answers and receives MUSIC ON HOLD; as it is still on hold.
4. Other station is recalled.
5. This station answers and conversation is again possible.
SERVICE CONDITIONS
1. This service feature is available only in the station to station connection.
2. The party who put the other party on hold first will not receive time out reminder signal until the other
party releases the DUAL HOLD.
