SPLITTING
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This service feature allows the Attendant to confer privately with one party on an Attendant-handled
connection without the other party overhearing.
STATION APPLICATION
DESK CONSOLE
SMART CONSOLE
OPERATING PROCEDURE
To speak with called party only:
1. Dial desired station number.
2. Station class/number is displayed.
3. Wait for party to answer.
To speak with calling party only:
1. Depress
SRC
key.
2. Trunk group/number is displayed.
3. Proceed with conversation.
To return to called party:
1. Depress
DEST
key.
2. Station class/number displayed
To speak with both parties;
1. Depress
TALK
key.
To release from Attendant Console:
1. Depress
RELEASE
key.
To disconnect all parties involved in a three-way conference:
1. Depress
DEST
key.
2. Depress
CANCL
key twice.
SERVICE CONDITIONS
1. The Attendant may alternate between the called and calling station parties, and three-way conference,
as desired.
2. If the SERIAL CALL feature is provided, the call is automatically split when the Attendant depresses
the ANSWER key to answer a recall initiated by a station user.
3. The SPLITTING feature is a standard Attendant feature.
4. SPLITTING is automatic when the Attendant begins call completion or answer a recall.
5. SPLITTING is manual when the SRC , DEST , or TALK key is depressed on the Attendant Console.
