CALL PICKUP - DESIGNATED GROUP
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This service feature has been made available by modifying the conventional CALL PICKUP -
DIRECT service. In the case of the conventional CALL PICKUP - DIRECT service a station user picks up
the incoming call by designating the called station number. However, in the case of this modified service,
a station user can pick up an incoming call by designating a station number within the call pickup group to
which the called station belongs, not necessarily by designating the called station number itself.

OPERATING PROCEDURE
1. Upon recognizing a termination of an incoming call to another station, a station user (answering sta-
tion) lifts the handset of the self station set and receives Dial Tone.
2. The answering station user dials the special code for CALL PICKUP - DESIGNATED GROUP and
then dials a station number within the Call Pickup Group to which the called station belongs.
3. The answering station user talks with the caller.
SERVICE CONDITIONS
1. This service feature is for allowing a station user to pick up an incoming call by dialling a station
number within the Station Group to which the called station belongs, not by dialling the Group
Number.
If such a call pickup service is to be provided that an incoming call is to be picked up by dialling the
Group Number, it is necessary to assign a virtual station number as the Group Number. All other con-
ditions are the same as those for the conventional CALL PICKUP - DIRECT service.
