BUSY VERIFICATION
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This service feature permits the Attendant via the Attendant Console, to enter a busy station connection
within the system. When this feature is activated, an intrusion tone is sent to the connected parties, after
which they and the Attendant will be connected in a three-way bridge.

OPERATING PROCEDURE
To activate BUSY VERIFICATION:
1. Depress idle
LOOP
key.
2. Dial desired station number; receive Busy Tone.
3. Depress
BV
key.
4. A two-burst tone is sent to connected parties.
5. Attendant may not monitor or join the connection.
6. Depress
RELEASE
key to disengage.
SERVICE CONDITIONS
1. This feature may be used during Station-to-Station and Station-to-Trunk calls (COT, or Tie Lines)
2. In cases except above instances, the Attendant will receive Reoder Tone.
3. BUSY VERIFICATION and ATTENDANT LOCKOUT are mutually exclusive features.
4. This feature can be denied on DICTATION ACCESS and PAGING ACCESS connections.
5. STATION HUNTING (Circular, Secretarial, or Terminal): If an Attendant attempts to busy-verify a
busy station line in a Hunt Group, the call will hunt. That is, STATION HUNTING will take prece-
dence over BUSY VERIFICATION. If all stations in a Hunt Group are busy, BUSY VERIFICATION
takes place on the dialled station.
6. An Attendant cannot busy-verify a busy station line that has the DATA LINE SECURITY class of serv-
ice. If a busy verification is Attempted in this line, the Attendant will be routed to Reorder Tone.
