STATION CAMP-ON
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This feature allows a calling station, when a desired station is busy, to hold an incoming call in special
waiting mode which sends a Camp-On Tone indication to the busy station. When the busy station becomes
idle, it is automatically called and connected to the waiting trunk party upon answer.
OPERATING PROCEDURE
Procedure 1
1. Calling station dials the desired station number after placing an incoming call on CONSULTA-
TION HOLD - ALL CALLS.
2. Calling station hears Busy Tone.
3. Depress the hook switch momentarily then dial the STATION CAMP-ON access code.
4. Busy station will hear Camp-On Tone (one tone burst).
5. Calling station will hear Service Set Tone.
6. Calling station goes on hook.
Procedure 2
1. Calling station dials the desired station number after placing an incoming call on CONSULTA-
TION HOLD - ALL CALLS.
2. Calling station hears Busy Tone.
3. Calling station goes on hook.
4. Busy station will hear Camp-On Tone (one tone burst). STATION CAMP-ON is set.
Procedure 1 and 2 can be useful on same system, but can be eliminated by system data for each procedure
basis.
SERVICE CONDITIONS
1. When STATION CAMP-ON is activated to a station, any other Camp-On attempts to that station are
denied and Reorder Tone is provided. The calling station can return to the original party.
2. The ability to activate this feature can be allowed or denied in the station’s CLASS OF SERVICE -
INDIVIDUAL.
3. After an incoming call has remained camped-on for a programmable period of time (8 to 128 seconds),
the station which set camp-on will be recalled automatically.
4. A called station may answer the camped-on call using the CALL HOLD feature.
5. Camp-on may be denied if the busy station is:
a. dialling or in a state of LINE LOCKOUT
b. listening to any tone or ringing another station
c. being rung.
