STATION HUNTING - TERMINAL
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This service feature enables calls placed to busy stations other than the pilot station of a hunt group to
receive a Busy Tone rather than proceed through the normal hunting process. However, if the call is placed
to the busy pilot station of a hunt group, hunting will proceed as usual.
OPERATING PROCEDURE
No manual operation is required.
SERVICE CONDITIONS
1. If all lines in a hunt group are busy, the caller will receive Busy Tone.
2. The maximum number of stations that can be included in one STATION HUNTING -TERMINAL
group is 60 (including the pilot station).
If a station within the hunt group other than the pilot station has set CALL FORWARDING -ALL
CALLS or DO NOT DISTURB calls already in the hunt process will bypass that station and continue
hunting.
3. There is no limit to the number of STATION HUNTING-TERMINAL groups per system.
4. When the station number used as a pilot number has set CALL FORWARDING - ALL CALLS.
CALL FORWARDING will reroute the call and STATION HUNTING - TERMINAL will not occur.
5. When an station within the STATION HUNTING - TERMINAL group other than the pilot station sets
CALL FORWARDING - ALL CALLS, calls already in the hunt process will bypass the station and
continue hunting. Calls directed to the station (versus directed to the pilot station) will follow the Call
Forwarding setting.
6. When any station except a pilot in a hunt group has set DO NOT DISTURB, the station will be
bypassed and hunting continues. When a pilot station has set DO NOT DISTURB, the calling party
will receive Busy Tone.
7. The terminating sequence of service features to a pilot station is as follows:
a. CALL FORWARDING - ALL CALLS
b. STATION HUNTING
c. CALL FORWARDING - BUSY LINE
d. CAMP - ON
e. CALL WAITING - STATION.
8. Only calls to the pilot number will initiate the hunting sequence to operate. Calls to busy stations other
than the pilot number will receive Busy Tone.
9. Recall from CALL BACK, OUTGOING TRUNK QUEUEING, etc., will not hunt.
