GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The DIAL INTERCOM allows a D

to be one of a group of up to 10 D

s which can call via a ded-
icated
DIAL INTERCOM
key using abbreviated dialling. DIAL INTERCOM calls can be voice
announce with HANDS FREE ANSWER BACK - D

or ringing calls.

OPERATING PROCEDURE
1. The calling party lifts handset and depresses the
DIAL INTERCOM
key; receives Dial Tone.
2. The calling party dials the one digit intercom code of the called D
term

3. The called party receives a tone burst followed by voice announcement and can answer via HANDS-
FREE ANSWER BACK-D
term

The calling party can dial 1 to change the call to a ringing call. (Each 1 dialled changes the mode from
ringing to voice announce or vice versa).
4. For ringing call, the called party must lift the handset and depress the flashing
DIAL INTERCOM
key.
SERVICE CONDITIONS
1. A maximum of 25 DIAL INTERCOM groups are available per system. A maximum of 10 D
term
ter-
minals are available per DIAL INTERCOM group.
2. A D
term
can have more than one DIAL INTERCOM appearance.
3. Each DIAL INTERCOM provides a single voice path.
4. INTERCOM number assignments are one digit (0-9).
5. On a system basis, all DIAL INTERCOMs can be private or non-private.
When a DIAL INTERCOM is non-private, up to four members of the group can enter an INTERCOM
call.
6. Incoming call indication is only given to the called party within the DIAL INTERCOM group.
7. Each DIAL INTERCOM (from 2 to 10 appearances) uses a single station which can be a software sta-
tion (no supporting hardware is required).
8. DUAL HOLD and HOLD RECALL are available on DIAL INTERCOM. Other station features such
as CALL TRANSFER, CALL PARK, etc. are not available.
