key can be used to answer incoming calls on
outside lines and extensions. When the

key is used to answer an incoming call with a call in
progress, the first party is placed on hold and the second party is connected.

OPERATING PROCEDURE
To answer an incoming call with a call in progress:
1. Receive incoming indication.
2. Depress
Answer
key, the original call is placed on NON-EXCLUSIVE HOLD.
3. Converse with connected party.
4. To return to the call on hold after the second call is completed, depress the line key associated with
the call on hold.
SERVICE CONDITIONS
1. The
Answer
key’s LED will flash for incoming calls on trunk line keys and Camped-On calls.
2. The priority of calls answered via the
Answer
key is as follows:
a. Voice Call
b. Call to Prime Line (including Camp-on)
c. Call to Trunk Line Appearance
d. Call to Secondary Extension (lowest key No. has priority)
3. When a D
term
user is initiating a voice call or monitoring tones provided by the system (extension dial
tone, call waiting tone, etc.) and uses the Answer key to answer an incoming call, the first call will not
be placed on hold (the tone or voice announcement connection will be terminated).
4. When a BROKER’S CALL is in progress, the Answer key cannot be used to answer incoming calls
but when depressed will alternate between the calls.
5. When a three party conference is in progress, depressing the Answer key splits the conference and
establishes a BROKER’S CALL.
