ADD-ON MODULE-D

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This feature allows the ADD-ON MODULE to be combined with a D
term
when there is insufficient
line or trunk keys provided at the D
term
.
When the ADD-ON MODULE unit keys are programmed as line/trunk keys, the additional 25 lines/
trunks and the existing lines/trunks set for the D
term
can be accessed directly (maximum of 49 lines/
trunks).
The SPEED CALLING-STATION function can be assigned for all keys on the ADD-ON MODULE
unit. Also, one of the last 3 keys can be used as a Day/Night change key.

OPERATING PROCEDURE
The operating procedure as an ADD-ON MODULE is the same as that of the D
term
.
If any key on the ADD-ON MODULE unit is used for SPEED CALLING-STATION, the operating proce-
dure is the same as SPEED CALLING-STATION.
SERVICE CONDITIONS
1. The amount of ADD-ON MODULE units is limited to 32 units for every Firmware Processor (FP)
installed, for a system total of 32 units.
2. Only one ADD-ON MODULE can be connected to a D
term
providing a maximum of up to 49 line/
trunk keys (24 line/trunk keys on D
term
and 25 line/trunk keys on ADD-ON MODULE).
3. A D
term
and an associated ADD-ON MODULE unit must be contained in the same PIM.
4. The total of D
term
s and ADD-ON MODULE units used as ADD-ON MODULEs;
• MP without expansion memory (standard) : 256 per system
• MP with expansion memory (optional) : 512 per system
5. Trunks and lines (Prime Lines of other D
term
s, virtual lines, and single lines) can be assigned to the
ADD-ON MODULE unit lines and keys.
6. The following can also be set for line/trunk keys other than those mentioned in 5 above:
HOUSE PHONEs, HOTLINEs, MANUAL INTERCOMs, AUTOMATIC INTERCOMs, and DIAL
INTERCOMs.
7. Lamp indication on the ADD-ON MODULE unit is the same as that of D
term
s.
8. BOSS-SECRETARY TRANSFER and OVERRIDE functions are available for line keys on the ADD-
ON MODULE.
