KP Options menu

PIN Attempts

Each keypad can be programmed for a number of PIN attempts in the range 1-99 before
Windsor disables the keypad. A disabled keypad is indicated by the “Out of Service” message.

Out of Service

This message will remain on display for 5 minutes from the last
key press.

KP Options menu

PA Function

Each LCD keypad can be individually programmed for panic functions. The panic functions
are activated by pressing a pair of keypad buttons simultaneously.

Panic Function

Buttons

PA Panic

QUIT+

↵

Fire Panic

QUIT+

↑

Medical Panic

QUIT+

↓

For each of the 3 panic functions a TX function may be programmed (see comms/TX/system).

If the PA function is on then all 3 UI panic functions will be enabled.

The UI PA Function alarm responses are;

Fire:

•

the KP Fire TX output is activated

•

the external sounder, strobe and internal audio will be turned on when set and

the external sounder and internal audio will be turned on when unset.

•

the event is logged as a UI Fire.

Medical:

•

the KP Medical TX output is activated

•

the internal audio will be turned on when set or unset.

•

the event is logged as a UI Med.

PA:

•

the KP PA TX output is activated

•

if an audible response is programmed then the external sounder, strobe and

internal audio will be turned on when set. Only the external sounder and
internal audio will be turned on when unset.

•

the event is logged as a UI PA.

KP Options menu

Dual PIN

Any LCD keypad or keypoint can be programmed for dual PIN operation. An INOVA Cardpoint
cannot be used for dual PIN operation. To log on to a dual pin keypad 2 valid PIN codes must
be entered within a 2 minute period. The same PIN code may not be entered twice. Both user
numbers are stored in the event log. Only the authority of the second entered PIN code is
used by Windsor but the authority of the first PIN code user must not be off.
