KP menu

EKP Set Mode

If the KP type is a keypoint or INOVA Cardpoint then option 2 will be available. This will allow a
single area to be programmed.

KP Set Mode

The keypad set mode on an LCD keypad can be different for each area. To view or modify the
KP set mode select option 1 from the keypad menu and then enter the area number.

For a list of setting modes press HELP.

0=Off

There are 7 setting mode menu options.

1=Timed
2=Instant
3=PB
4=EnEx
5=EnEx/Tm
6=Unset

Unset mode cannot be programmed for the system.

KP set mode menu

Off

If an area is programmed as off no user can access this area from the keypad being
programmed. This rule applies to all operations, not just setting, and to all users including the
engineer. This programming selection can only be reversed by re-programming the keypad on
a keypad with authority over the area programmed for off (Keypad 0 will always allow access
to all areas).

KP set mode menu

Timed

If timed setting is programmed an exit time in the range 1-255 seconds must be also
programmed. Windsor will attempt to set the programmed area at the end of the exit time.

KP set mode menu

Instant

If    Instant  setting  is  programmed  for  the  area  Windsor  will  attempt  to  set  when  the  user
requests  setting.  There  will  still  be  a    short  delay  before  an  area  “Instant”  sets  to  allow  all
circuits  to  be  checked.  The  length  of  the  delay  will  depend  on  the  number  of  concentrators
and whether set battery testing is enabled.

PB

If push button (PB) setting is programmed for the area Windsor will attempt to set when the
user activates the PB circuit after the final exit circuit, which is programmed to operate with
the PB circuit, has been closed.
