Installing a Power Supply Unit blank

Follow the safety guidelines listed in

Safety instructions

OTE

Install the power supply unit (PSU) blank only in the second PSU bay.

Follow the below steps to install the Power Supply Unit blank:

1. Align the PSU blank with the PSU slot and push it into the PSU slot until it clicks into

place.

After installing a Power Supply Unit follow the procedure listed in

After working inside your

system

Removing a Power Supply Unit

CAUTION: The system needs one power supply unit (PSU) for normal operation. On
power-redundant systems, remove and replace only one PSU at a time in a system that is
powered on.

Follow the safety guidelines listed in

Safety instructions

Disconnect the power cable from the power source and from the PSU you intend to
remove, and then remove the cable from the strap on the PSU handle.

Unlatch and lift the optional cable management arm if it interferes with the PSU removal.

Follow the below steps to remove the Power Supply Unit blank:

1. Press the release latch and slide the PSU out of the system by using the PSU handle.
