5) Remove the sub-tank unit and purge unit from the printer by using the circular
opening to slide them out. Then, the sub-tank and purge unit must be placed on
their 'backs' (by turning them 90 degrees). The term 'back' refers to the rear surface
of the sub tank and purge unit when in the printer. Turn this flat surface from its
vertical position so as to lie horizontally. This rear surface is the only flat surface
upon which the unit can be placed safely.
6) Remove 5 screws as well as 2 joints and 1 connector on the ink tubes to separate
the sub-tank unit from the purge unit. The removed purge unit has to be placed in
the same direction as installed direction.
