5.1.3 Details of installation mode

The details of the Installation menus are as shown below.

1) Level adjustment

Press a key to move the carriage to the corresponding point of adjustment at the
left/right edge or at the center of the printer.

2) Fill ink

Draws ink from the ink bottles into the printer.
Time required varies depending on the amount of ink remaining in the printer
(approx. 30 minutes when no ink in the printer). Use an ink bottle containing more
than 200ml of ink (about 1/3 of the ink bottle) when filling the ink for the first
time.
When sub-tank ink sensors detect the presence of ink or when the Status of ink is
set to Yes, then ink is circulated between the sub-tank and the air buffer.

Do not execute the "Fill ink" command more than three times
consecutively. Ink may leak from sub-tank units and ink drainage may
result.

3) Ink drain

Discharges all the ink in the printer into the waste-ink tank.
Time required is approx. 30 minutes, regardless of the amount of ink remaining in
the printer.
When the ink drain process is interrupted by turning the power off, complete the
task by executing the Ink drain again after the power is re-applied.

In case the Ink drain procedure is interrupted, the printer does not
indicate the "Ready" status even after the power is re-applied.
